A Journey We’re On Together

Faithful and loving friends, first, this is a lifetime journey we are on, and what a comforting thought to know we’re on it together! This is my nineteenth message. They say time flies when you’re having fun, so I think it’s safe to say, it makes me so happy to share my life experiences with you, as this time together is flying by. ***This message was written quite a while ago; however, meant for TODAY and by God’s direction, is truly purposed for such a time as this (Esther 4:14).

In this nineteenth message, I pray God will speak to your heart, your spirit, and your soul.

Hearing from God with Confidence

I’ve had conversations with a lot of people, fellow Christians who tell me they are very leery or suspicious of “hearing from God.” And although it is understandable with the reality of our human being, it is also sad to me. Why? Simply because I desire for you to move forward in your Christian Walk with the confidence that comes with being a BELIEVING human being, to include the ability to hear from our Heavenly Father.

What is the difference between a human being and a BELIEVING human being? The answer is actually very simple, but necessary to explain. The human being is ok, is comfortable with sin, is not aware of what is evil, because the human conscious contradicts the spiritual guidance of Jesus Christ. Before you are “born again” as a Christian, you are a child of the world, of the enemy (bear with me here). Your experience when being born again reflects a complete change of heart, which in turn, changes your spirit, your soul.

Our “human” tendency is to expect tangibility in everything: I must touch it, feel it, and see it to believe it. Our “spiritual” knowledge (based on God’s Word) tells us life is about two things: FAITH and BELIEF (Galatians 3:26–27 & John 3:16).

Strengthening Our Faith

You cannot claim to be a Christian and deny anything that is in the Bible, the living Word of God, to include the miracle of Jesus’ birth to virgin Mary, the parting of the Red Sea, the story of Jonah and the Whale, Noah and the Ark, and so many more stories we must have faith to believe.

Why is it that God would do these miracles, record them in His Holy Word for all of us to read? To strengthen our faith into that of ultimate belief that THERE IS NOTHING our God can’t do.

The trials and tribulations we go through on this earth, where we lean on Jesus as He tells us to do—this is where faith and belief meet reality. Let me write that one more time for you, because someone needs to see this right now:

“The trials and tribulations we go through on this earth, where we lean on Jesus as He tells us to do; this is where faith and belief meet reality.”

Once you have experienced pain in life that almost takes you, and you do what God tells you to do, this is when John 14:27 comes to life. This world CANNOT and will never be able to comfort us with the peace that can ONLY come from Jesus!

Laying Down Our Pride

Laying down our desire to always be right, to submit to something other than ourselves for guidance—these are a must for us to grow in relationship with Jesus, where we can hear Him in our spirit.

How do I know this to be true? I align my belief system ALWAYS with God’s Word. If God’s Word says it, It’s TRUTH.

Our Eternal Home

When we pass on from this life into the next, as believers, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). There is NO doubt in my mind that we WILL meet Jesus upon our last breath here on earth. Eternally, the Word says, we will be transformed with a whole new body, free from sin (as sin cannot dwell or live where God is, it is not possible), free from death, and free from any suffering.

Why would Jesus use the wording, “free from death”? Because spiritually, to live is to die and to die is to live (if you are a believer). Loved one, this is the BEST NEWS since sliced bread!

These truths are so powerful, they give us the actual confidence to be totally unafraid of death. There is no greater peace than to be excited about the day God calls us Home, where we will spend eternity with no pain, no suffering, no death.

We will live forever and ever in paradise with fellow believers and our Jesus. We will run and not grow weary; we will be surrounded by a beauty that our current minds cannot even fathom. IT WILL BE A JOYOUS, CELEBRATORY TIME!

The Contrast: Heaven or Hell

In contrast, those who pass on to the next life, which is eternity, and have yet to confess their sins and declare that Jesus is Lord, that He is the Son of God – will enter a place called Hell. Here you are in communion not with God, but with satan.

Friends, I don’t claim to have visited either place of our final destiny, but I KNOW because of my faith in Jesus and God’s Word that these things are true.

The most difficult aspect of breathing in these truths and living them out is the ability to understand your place. Your place in this world is not to know everything, not to gain as much money as you can before you leave the earth, not to have the most perfect body, face, hair, etc., the biggest house in the neighborhood.

Your place in this world is to bring glory to the Father through your actions because of your faith in His Son! – That’s it. Jenny, seriously, that’s it? Yes, loved one, that’s it!

This entails laying down your natural human tendency to be selfish and replace it with humility. Hard, difficult—yes. Because the enemy’s desire is to keep having you feed your human wants, and he will make it nearly impossible for you to see beyond the world – IF you don’t cling to Jesus.

The Seriousness of Eternity

I googled, “what is the opposite of holy?” The word profane, says Google. Profane is defined as not sacred, being disrespectful towards what is holy. The place of Heaven is holy, because where God dwells, there can be no sin, as opposed to the place of Hell where only sin and separation from God is the new norm – NOT a place you want to be even for a second, let alone for eternity.

God’s Word says EVERYTHING that is good is from God (James 1:17); whereas everything that is bad and disgraceful is of satan (1 John 3:7-8). Hell, even if it is just a place of pure emptiness, a black hole, there is zero communion with God the Father (1 John 1:5).

The indications of Hell are apparent to me just by gaining an understanding of satan and his destructive ways with the world. I believe our eternal home is going to be an intensified atmosphere of either goodness in Heaven, or depravity, in Hell.

My Prayer for You

Friends, there is only one of two places we can go after our journey here on earth has been fulfilled.

At the beginning of this message I stated, my prayer is for your heart, your spirit and your soul to be touched by these words and descriptions. I’m sure many of you readers and followers of my blog are aware of these truths and how happy it makes my heart to know this, and if you feel led, please share with others, as now more than ever do we need to SPEAK OUT FOR TRUTH. We need to give those we love, our family, our friends, our neighbors the GOOD NEWS and IF we, if you stay silent, if you don’t share with others, the reality as I wrote above is detrimental forever and ever.

I’m praying fervently for every beautiful soul who reads this message, and I can promise you this: God knows my heart and my only desired accomplishment for these writings are for the betterment of your livelihood here in the now and in the future, in eternity, in Christ.

God bless you always ~ Amen and Amen.
