Have you ever felt like God pressed “pause” on your life?
Maybe you were ready to move forward, to see the next door open, to finally feel like your prayers were being answered — but instead, everything just… stopped.

I’ve been there more times than I can count. Waiting seasons can feel silent, lonely, and even confusing. But over and over, God reminds me that the pause isn’t punishment — it’s preparation.

I, well, my family in general, we are in this season now. I was meditating the other day, and God was giving me that John 14:27 peace. I literally did “pause” within the silence of my mediation and thanked Him, thanked Him for growth in understanding the importance of what this message will encourage you to do: Trust Him in times of waiting.

Transparency with you friends, it is all about authenticity – I wrote about authenticity within my first few messages to you, in hopes of you gaining an understanding about me and why I created this platform in the first place. Real is greater than perfect. I am an imperfect being with a harmonious destiny because of my faith in Jesus. That is ALWAYS and FOREVER the main point of every message. I pray your heart, soul and mind are continuously blessed with every testimony written about. Amen.

Our current situation in a nutshell – My husband and I both are more focused on building God’s kingdom than we have ever been before. The goal in my current position as I work diligently for the Federal Bureau of Prisons is one thing – To build the Kingdom of God by bringing the prisoners knowledge of Jesus Christ. As most readers are probably aware, the Federal Government is shut down as of Wednesday, October 1st. Within the past few weeks, I have worked harder than ever before. This is my testimony – human Jenny wants to be lazy, not steadfast, bitter, not better. The lesson to learn – THIS IS EXACTLY when we fight. THIS is when we pray and worship Jesus, not because everything is going perfect, but because we serve a God who is perfect. So, to finish the previous thought… in contrast to “human Jenny,” spiritual Jenny works with a selfless motive, walks in complete faith, stays steadfast in His guidance, and continues to focus on being BETTER every single day God allows me to wake up and move forward. All while not receiving a paycheck but boasting in the GREATNESS of GOD!

My husband, David, has been without a job now for going on three months. ***Please remember, this transparency is not complaining, but prayerfully allowing you to, when you are in the “waiting” periods, hold fast to God’s grace and goodness. Together, our witness to each other remains to move forward in faith and trust God. David is moving more today than ever. He has created motivational content by the hundreds, all while diligently working to find employment. His stringent daily routine is anything but lazy. He is remaining committed to the “cause”. God has put him in places he never would have been to help others see the “light”. His prayer has been, “God, use me during this time and keep me energetic and not discouraged”! Y’all, God is listening to my husband. We both receive text messages and phone calls constantly, asking, “how we are able to stay so positive in such a vulnerable time?” We reply, GOD. We do not sit back; we are not discouraged, we keep moving, we pray that we can continue to produce fruit, as we abide in HIm (John 15:5).

The Stillness Has Purpose

When I look back at so many moments in my life I felt were going nowhere, I can now see how God was working beneath the surface. He was strengthening my faith, refining my heart, and preparing me for something I couldn’t yet see, just as He is faithfully doing today.

Isaiah 40:31 says,

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Waiting doesn’t mean doing nothing — it means trusting actively. It’s choosing to hope when it would be easier to give up. It’s learning to rest in the One who holds all things together, even when life feels like it’s standing still.

When I Wanted to Move, God Said “Wait”

At times I prayed fervently for God to move in a specific area of my life – I thought I knew exactly how things should unfold. But every door stayed closed.  Precious friend, it wasn’t rejection; it was redirection.

In that still season, He taught me something I could never have learned in the rush of movement – how to be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10). He reminded me then and reminds me now that His timing isn’t just better than mine – it’s perfect.

God’s Timing Isn’t a Delay, It’s Design

So often we see waiting as a waste of time, but in God’s hands, it’s holy time. Every delay carries a divine purpose, and I’ve experienced it over and over. In the Bible, we also see it over and over – Joseph spent years in prison before stepping into his destiny (Genesis 37 – 50). David was anointed king long before he ever wore the crown (1 Samuel 16:13). Even Jesus waited until the appointed time to begin His ministry.

If you’re in a waiting season, you’re in good company – and you’re right where God can do His best work.

The Takeaway: Faith in the Pause

Friend, maybe today God is whispering “wait” instead of “go.” Maybe He’s calling you to sit in His presence a little longer before you see the breakthrough.

Don’t lose heart. The waiting room is not wasted space – it’s where faith grows roots deep enough to sustain the fruit God is preparing to bring about.

Hold onto this promise:

“At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” – Isaiah 60:22

And when the time comes – you’ll see that His “pause” was never to hold you back, but to set you up for His perfect plan. Keep smiling through the process. Be the light, be the person others see as resilient, not because everything is perfect, but because our amazing Father is! Amen and Amen.
