Discerning the Hour, Choosing Christ, and Preparing Our Hearts
“Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7
Friends, I write this message with both urgency and love. I do not claim to know the day or the hour of Christ’s return – Scripture tells us clearly that no one knows that (Matthew 24:36). But the Word of God is equally clear that we are not meant to be unaware of the season.
The signs are all around us.
The Bible Warned Us: Watch the Signs
The prophetic books of Scripture – particularly Daniel, Ezekiel, Matthew 24, and Revelation – speak of a time marked by global unrest, moral confusion, technological advancement, and spiritual deception.
We are witnessing:
- Geopolitical instability and wars (Matthew 24:6)
- The restoration and centrality of Israel in world affairs (Ezekiel 37)
- Rapid technological advancement (Daniel 12:4 – “knowledge shall increase”)
- Moral inversion – good called evil and evil called good (Isaiah 5:20)
- Natural disasters and global crises increasing in frequency (Luke 21:11)
None of this is coincidence. Scripture told us these days would come. This particular message of Jesus to the disciples in Matthew, chapter 24 has spoken to my soul so vividly. The first part of Jesus’ answer to the disciples when they asked Him, “What are the signs of your return, Lord?”….. was, “Watch out that no one deceives you.” Loved one, seeking discernment of the Holy Spirit is vital today. Please know this is why with all of my heart and all of my soul, I believe God is leading me to write to you – so you are confident in knowing you have a soldier, as vessel of the Lord who seeks out His guidance in all I do. I say to you, based on the deception I am witnessing of false teachers and worldly people who claim to desire goodness, even the goodness of God – ask Jesus what is real and what is deceiving. He WILL show you, my friend.
A World at a Crossroads: The Year of the Choice
As I have prayed and reflected, 2026 feels – to me – like a year of decision. A dividing line. A year where neutrality will no longer feel comfortable.
Jesus Himself said:
“No one can serve two masters.” (Matthew 6:24)
The world will continue to offer distraction, comfort, and compromise. But God, in His mercy, continues to call hearts back to Him. The closer it gets, the louder the noise of the lies, and the quieter the knock at the door of your heart will be. The enemy IS the ruler of this world. His MO is to drown out the call of the Holy Spirit and to give you everything you desire that is “of this world”. This is satan’s deception. Earth, the world, is your home, as a non-believer. That statement should make you feel yuck. Where is eternity? It is not here, my friend. It is in one of two places, but neither of those places are here. “We” are just passing through – we are here for “a time,” until individually, our time on earth is over.
This is not about fear.
This is about choice.
God Does Not Force Love – He Invites It
I recently heard a pastor explain God’s heart in a way that resonated deeply with me.
Imagine someone demanding your love – showing up uninvited, insisting you comply, saying, “You WILL love me.” Could that ever produce genuine love? Of course not.
And neither does God operate that way.
God desires relationship, not robotic obedience.
He invites us to choose Him.
“Choose this day whom you will serve.” (Joshua 24:15)
Love that is forced is not love at all. True love is chosen – daily, intentionally, freely.
Knowing God Changes Everything
Friends, once you truly get to know the goodness of God – through His Word, through prayer, through communion with mature believers – you will never regret choosing Him. If I’m wrong, it doesn’t even matter, I would have chosen Him anyway.
That is a promise I can make with confidence.
“Taste and see that the Lord is good.” (Psalm 34:8)
If You Are Unsure Where You Stand
If you are reading this and are unsure whether you are saved by God’s grace, I invite you – lovingly – to pray this aloud:
Father God,
I ask for forgiveness for my sins.
I am a sinner by nature, but I believe in Your Son, Jesus Christ,
that He died for me on the cross to atone for every sin — past, present, and future.
Please dwell within my heart, Lord.
I am opening the door of my spirit to You.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, or if you felt led to share this message, please comment or reach out. I would be honored to pray for you personally.
Time Is of the Essence
Friends, this is not a message of condemnation – it is a message of hope.
Jesus is coming back.
The battle is already won.
But souls still matter.
Let us spread the Good News while there is still time.
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” (Matthew 24:42)
God bless each and every one of you as we enter this new year.
Choose Jesus. Always.
