Finding Light, Hope, and Purpose in a Darkening World

We are living in a time when darkness is no longer hiding. it is being exposed everywhere. Current events, global shaking, moral confusion, and wars reflect exactly what biblical prophecy told us we would see. The world is groaning. Truth is being twisted. Right is being called wrong, and wrong is being celebrated as right (Revelation 6)

And yet… in the middle of all this chaos, God has not changed.
He is still light.
He is still hope.
He is still peace.
And for the believer, the joy of the Lord is still our strength.

I have prayed, friends! Prayed prayers of a revealing only God can allow – Discernment, it is the requirement for our spiritual eyes to be opened to the reality of this world and the principalities of darkness spoken about in the bible. When the Lord places your eyes on “things” and you get that gut feeling, a feeling of wonderance, that “caution” light blinking in your spirit, as to say, “be watchful, child” – this is real, it is not scary, friends. It is certainly a call to action for the believer, but nothing to be worrisome over.

I pray for the reader of these words, Father. Give them an understanding of Your message to them as they read. Let not their spirit grow weary; but allow them to be motivated to be the light. We as Christians are called to stand out as a light in darkness (Matthew 5:14-16). Our ultimate goal is to spend eternity in Heaven with You, Holy Father. Your word tells us the things of this world will pass by, but the things not seen are eternal (ie. Heaven and Hell). Give each reader peace and comfort, not in worldly ways, but in ways leading to an eternal perspective – that which helps prepare us with a joyful heart, mind, spirit and soul. In Jesus precious name, Amen! (John 14:27)

Darkness Revealed—Prophecy Unfolding

For many of us, the Holy Spirit has awakened something deep within. The more we watch the world unravel, the more we recognize that Scripture is unfolding in real time.

But Christians are not called to fear darkness. We are called to shine in it. Writing that statement gave me an analogy I believe is telling – My husband, David, who served in the AirForce, would go on “night” missions in the field. It is ironic to me that their ability to see at night with the “night vision goggles” allows them to see better in the dark than during the daylight hours, as those goggles “amplify” light in the darkness. What an amazing similarity when comparing those “night vision goggles” to our spiritual light – how, as we walk the earth (being naturally dark spiritually), our “light” shines brightly to those who are yet to be believers in Christ. I pray fervently that through God, and only God, I show others HIS light – understanding, Jenny Cote’s light would be dim and even completely dark without Jesus, without the dwelling of the Holy Spirit who walks with me everywhere I go (John 8:12). What an amazingly joyous truth, friends.

Jesus said, “You are the light of the world.”
Not because we are anything on our own, but because His light lives within us, through the power of the Holy Spirit – Hallelujah!

Nothing happening today is surprising to God.
But everything happening today is awakening His people. ***My hope in those truths is that I stay completely open and aware to testify to the world around me – about the spiritual awakening within me. There is absolutely NO judgement here within the texts of this platform on you! Please understand friends, my desire is to do the “work” within my own spirit, and in turn, tell you, and yes in ways warn you about where we are headed. My love for you and your happiness is paramount when I am writing. The enemy WILL utilize judgement to break up strong relationships in Christ Jesus. Stand strong, and remain faithful in love, and not in judgement, as His word is clear regarding this – Romans 14:4 tells us, “Who are you to pass judgement on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.” In other words, we are not to judge one another for issues nonessential to the faith. When we are in arenas of witnessing, we are still not “judging”- we are prayerfully exuding Christ and speaking in ways as Christ would have us to speak – In love, always, in love.

In all of that, I thank YOU for your continuous support and encouragement to press forth! As I pray for you, I more than appreciate your prayers for guidance in Christ also – to stay disciplined and focused always on the cause – BEING HIS LIGHT!

God Is Light – and We Carry His Light

Darkness increases, but so does our assignment.

As believers, we are the carriers of God’s light.
We are the reflection of His hope.
We are the voice of truth in a world searching for it everywhere but in Him.

If the world is darker, then our light must shine brighter.

And the only way we can shine is by staying connected to the source—the joy of the Lord. (Nehemiah 8:10)

This joy is not an emotion.
It is not circumstantial.
It is not dependent on good news, peaceful politics, or cultural comfort. – It goes against everything the “world” will tell you to gain your joy from (always being right, money, power, fame, happiness in your looks, your outward appearance, etc.). This joy derives from understanding we are human beings, as God’s creation, living in a world that is Not our home, but a temporary place we dwell in until the start of our eternity, our forever home, and a paradise we cannot even fathom (as Christians) – the joy that comes from this truth cannot be hidden, but reveals the light explained throughout God’s mighty word.

The joy of the Lord comes from Him alone.
From His goodness.
From His faithfulness.
From His presence.

It is supernatural strength in a weakening world.

Our Hope Must Be in Christ Alone

One of the greatest deceptions of the last days is misplaced hope.

Hope in governments.
Hope in leaders.
Hope in systems.
Hope in human wisdom.

But Scripture is clear:
Our hope is in Christ alone.

Everything of the world is temporary.
Everything of God is eternal.

When we place our trust fully in Jesus – His truth, His promises, His lordship – we become unshakeable even when the world shakes around us.

My Role Moving Forward: Spreading the Good News

As I watch everything unfolding, my spirit has been awakened not to panic, but to purpose.
Not to dread, but to determination.

My question to the Lord has been:
“What is my role for the kingdom moving forward?”

And the answer is simple…
But powerful:

Spread the Good News.

The Gospel is not only a message of salvation – it is a message of hope for this very hour.

To testify of Jesus Christ.
To remind people of His love.
To proclaim the cross.
To speak of His sacrifice – His unimaginable suffering, His torture, His blood poured out for us.
To share the peace He gives us every single time we ask Him.

People need hope now more than ever.
And we know where hope lives – in Jesus Christ alone.

Our job is to point them to Him.

The Joy of the Lord—Our Daily Strength

No matter how dark the world becomes, no matter how loudly evil shouts, no matter how prophetically aligned the shaking becomes –

the joy of the Lord is still our strength.

His joy sustains us.
His joy empowers us.
His joy keeps our spirits lifted, our hearts secure, and our purpose clear.

We are not here by accident (Psalm 139:13 & Jeremiah 1:5)
We are here for such a time as this (Esther 4:14)
We are here to shine, testify, and carry the presence of Jesus wherever God sends us (Isaiah 6:8)

So today, and every day forward:
Hold onto His joy.
Walk in His truth.
Shine with His light.
And stand firm in the hope of Christ.

The world needs what God has put inside of you ~ Amen!
